BELIZE - ANNUAL OBLIGATIONS

As you may recall, recent changes in Belize require legal entities to comply with annual obligations, including:

1.     Filing of the Economic Substance Declaration; and

2.     Filing of the Annual Tax Return.

The respective registered agent must carry out both procedures. We want to remind you of the applicable deadlines for each of the obligations mentioned above, which are as follows:

1.   Deadline for filing the Economic Substance Declaration:

2.   Deadline for filing the Annual Tax Return:

All companies must report their income earned from January 1st to December 31st of each year within the first three months of the following year. Therefore, the Annual Tax Return must be submitted by March 31st of each year.
